Dunkirk Mayor Wilfred Rosas announced late Thursday afternoon the repair and reopening of Central Avenue after 6-inch water main break between Howard and Bataan avenues earlier in the day. Rosas said he has asked the DPW to add replacement of this line with funds from a state grant the city received for service upgrades like crews did last year for Lafayette Avenue. Rosas thanked the city crews for getting this line fixed in adverse weather. There was no interruption to any water service.
