A 37-year-old Lockport man who was shot late Saturday in Jamestown was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police were investigating the shooting incident, reported at about 11:25 p.m. at East Sixth Street at American Place. Multiple shots were fired, officers were advised.

The victim, identified as Shawn Black, was transported to UPMC Chautauqua by a private vehicle. Black was pronounced dead at the hospital.
