Clymer man charged in theft of $60,000 from business

A Clymer man has been charged in connection with the theft of more than $60,000 from a south county business.

On March 2, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and Ellicott Police Department conducted an investigation into a fraud complaint. Upon further investigation, it was found that Nathan Massing, 23, did take funds from a local business. Massing was knowingly in possession of the funds and did not return the money to the business.

A warrant was issued for Massing’s arrest by The town of Ellicott court. On Monday, Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies charged Massing with second-degree grand larceny. He was taken to county jail where he was to be arraigned at the Centralized Arraignment Program.
