Man injured in Fredonia stabbing

A stabbing at the 100 Brigham Road apartment complex in the village of Fredonia has led to charges for a woman.

Fredonia police report they responded to a domestic incident around 8 p.m. Monday. When police arrived, they located a male subject with a stab wound to the chest and the left leg. Fredonia EMS arrived on scene, and treated the stabbing victim. The victim refused attempts for transport to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

An subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Tamika R. Thomas, no age or address listed, of second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. Thomas was transported to Centralized Arraignment in Mayville where she was being held pending arraignment.

The stabbing was the third in the village within a month. The first stabbing, in which a 17-year-old was charged, injured a pair of Jamestown residents during the weekend that was labeled as Non-Fred Fest on May 5 and 6.
