A red Ford sedan veered off Central Avenue in Dunkirk near Green Street, within sight of the Big Dipper Ice Cream Parlor on Wednesday afternoon and struck a utility pole. The accident temporarily closed Central Avenue, but the road was reopened shortly after 1 p.m.
