Boil-water order lifted
BROCTON — After multiple water line breaks in the village and the Town of Portland earlier this week, a Boil Water Order has been lifted
Three sizable holes were discovered earlier this past week – at the Lakeview Shock Incarceration Correctional Facility, as well as on Peerless Street and on Fuller Road, just east of Pecor Street. The breaks were addressed by village and town workers prior to Wednesday evening’s Brocton Village Board meeting, where their efforts were recognized.
Deputy Mayor Bryan Woleben offered his thanks and thanks on behalf of Mayor Craig Miller to Chadwick Bay Intermunicipal Water Works, Rich Lewis, Ken Becker, Sam Alaimo, and all the workers who assisted with patching the breaks.
“Really, a big thank you to you guys. You guys really hustled and got things back up to snuff,” Woleben said.
