Injuries after vehicle collides with Amish buggy

HARMONY – Four people were taken to area hospitals following an accident involving an Amish buggy.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday, a female youth was driving a vehicle north on Blockville Watts Flats Road in the town of Harmony and collided with an Amish buggy traveling in the same direction.

The Amish buggy contained three adult males. Two of the males and the female youth were transported to a local hospital. The third male was transported to a Pennsylvania hospital.

Deputies said at this time the injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The female youth, whose name was not released, was issued traffic tickets.
