No injuries were reported in a morning accident at Deer and Sixth streets in the city of Dunkirk involving a school bus and a van.

City police report the incident occurred at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday. After an investigation it was found the driver of the van failed to stop for the sign at the intersection and struck the rear of the school bus. Occupants of both vehicles were evaluated by Dunkirk Fire Department.

The driver of the van, Amelia Mateo-Garcia, 22, was issued tickets for improper child restraint, unlicensed operator, failure to stop at stop sign and no insurance.
