SINCLAIRVILLE — A village resident is facing charges after striking another individual with a baseball bat.

Around 6:49 a.m. Sunday, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an address on Main Street for a report of an assault in progress. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Jeremiah Haas, 46, caused physical injury to another individual by striking them with a bat. Haas was charged with third-degree assault. He was later transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned on the charge.
