Walleye Festival takes to land, waters

The Dunkirk Walleye Festival, presented by Dunkirk Festivals and Primitive Patriot Outdoors, is underway at the Dunkirk Pier.

The free public event schedule is as follows with fishing started at 6 a.m.; 2 to 8 p.m., vendors open to public; 5 p.m., weigh-in show; 7 to 10 p.m., live music on stage by 1980 Something.

On Saturday, there is a shotgun start at 7 a.m. and vendors open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; 1 to 2 p.m. is the band Committed; weigh-in show at 5 p.m.; 7 to 10 p.m., is live music by West of the Mark: the Prime Project country band.
