A Sinclairville man has been charged in a Saturday rollover accident. Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies report around 3:42 p.m., they were dispatched to a pickup truck and tractor motor vehicle accident with personal injury on Sinclair Drive Extension. Upon arrival it was determined the operator of the truck, who was identified as John B. Spitale, 77, failed to yield to a farm tractor that was towing a cultipacker and struck the rear of it. Spitale was airlifted to Erie County Medical Center by STAT helicopter for further treatment. After further investigation it was found that Spitale was operating his vehicle while intoxicated. He was issued citations he will have to answer in Gerry town court.
