Bemus Point Resident Charged With Promoting, Possessing Child Porn
BEMUS POINT – A village resident is facing multiple charges connected to child pornography, including promoting and possessing images and videos.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, on Aug. 7 after an extensive investigation, a search warrant was conducted at an address on North Nesmith Avenue, Bemus Point by the Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the New York State Police and the New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit.
As a result, a large quantity of evidence was seized from the house in accordance with the search warrant. After reviewing these items, images and videos allegedly containing sexual performances by children were located.
On Friday, an arrest warrant was signed and the Sheriff’s Office returned to the residence and took Isaiah C. Hitchcock, 35, into custody.
Hitchcock has been charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child, possessing a sexual performance by a child, and second-degree unlawful surveillance.
Hitchcock was brought to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment for the charges. The investigation is still ongoing and further charges may be filed at a later date.
