Jamestown man charged in pair of city incidents
A pair of domestic incidents Tuesday has led to charges for a Jamestown resident.
Dunkirk police report at 12:05 p.m., an officer encountered an in-progress domestic incident at a business on Lake Shore Drive East. While officers attempted to ascertain the facts, Jayden Feaster, 20, obstructed the investigation by preventing officers from speaking with the victim. When officers advised Feaster he was under arrest for obstructing the investigation, Feaster resisted arrest. It is alleged that Feaster heavily damaged a car door and threw the victim’s cell phone in Lake Erie during the incident.
Feaster was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration, third-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
At 3 p.m., Judge John Kuzdale arraigned Feaster in Dunkirk City Court and released him pursuant to New York State bail reform. At 3:05 PM, he was released from Dunkirk Police custody.
At 4:09 p.m., officers were alerted to a domestic incident outside the police department. During this incident, it is alleged Feaster grabbed a steak knife and was again damaging the victim’s car, by repeatedly stabbing the infotainment unit. The victim, while attempting to prevent Feaster from damaging the vehicle, suffered a minor cut to the hand.
Feaster was again taken into custody on charges of second-degree reckless endangerment and fourth-degree criminal mischief and held for arraignment overnight.
On Wednesday morning, Feaster was arraigned in Dunkirk City Court by Judge Rachel Roberts and was re-released to the supervision of probation per New York state bail reform.
