Six charged after authorities find fentanyl, handguns in Fredonia

Six north county residents are facing charges after an investigation into narcotics activity at 166 Newton St. in Fredonia.

A search warrant was executed by narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Dunkirk Police Department, Jamestown Police Department and Fredonia police with entry made into the residence by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s SWAT around 5:25 a.m. Thursday.

Located inside the residence at the time of the search warrant were Fredonia residents Dakota Cordell, 27, Brett Plucinski, 34, Joseph Culmo, 63, Nicholas Culmo, 31, and Richard Culmo, 36, and Faith Grisanti, 26, of Dunkirk. As a result of the search, investigators seized 81.8g of fentanyl, six handguns, one rifle, 50 suboxone strips, a quantity of Oxycodone, scales and packaging material for the sale and distribution of narcotics and $6,170. Cordell, Grisanti, Plucinski, Joseph Culmo, Nicholas Culmo were all charged with two counts of third-degree criminal Possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. Cordell was additional charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and he had three arrest warrants.

Joseph Culmo also had an arrest warrant from Village of Fredonia Court. Richard Culmo was charged with first-degree criminal nuisance and released. All other suspects were transport to Chautauqua County Jail for the centralized arraignment program.
