A K-9 with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office located a missing older adult.

At around 1:45 p.m. Friday deputies were dispatched to Osborne Road in the town of Pomfret. It was reported that a elderly vulnerable adult had walked into a wooded area and was now missing. A Chautauqua County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit deployed K-9 Drake into the wooded area on a free air sniff track in an attempt to locate the missing subject. K-9 Drake successfully located the missing subject in the wooded area.

The subject was not injured and was assisted back to safety by deputies.
