Two city residents charged following drug investigation

Two Dunkirk residents have been placed under arrest following an investigation of illegal drugs in the city.
Narcotics Investigators from the Dunkirk Police Department, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the Jamestown Police Department executed a search warrant Monday around 1:30 p.m. with Dunkirk Police SRT making entry into the upper rear apartment at 501-502 Washington Ave.
Located at the residence at the time of the search warrant was 40-year-old Bobby Ross and 27-year-old Jamal Robinson.
As a result of the search investigators said they seized 23.3 grams of cocaine, 40 dosage units of heroin, 10.17 grams of ecstasy, scales and packaging material used for the sale and distribution of narcotics, a loaded .380 handgun, and $1,203 in U.S. currency.
Ross was charged with four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Robinson was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Ross and Robinson were transported to the Dunkirk Police Department and later arraigned in the City of Dunkirk Court.
