City woman charged in Wednesday stabbing
A stabbing incident on Wednesday afternoon has led to charges against a city woman.
Dunkirk police report that at about 2:30 p.m. they received a report of an incident on the 500 block of Leopard Street. Upon arrival, patrol located the male victim who alleged that, Layla Garcia, 23, of 522 Leopard St., stabbed him in the arm with a pair of scissors and hit him with a crowbar.
The victim also alleged Garcia smashed his windshield with a kid scooter and a crowbar. Garcia was located and charged with third-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief. She was held for arraignment and later released without bail.
