New York State Thruway is closed in both directions from milepost 401.7 to 417.3 between exit 48A and exit 49 due to a crash between the Pembroke and Depew exits after a tour bus rollover.

The Buffalo News is reporting that 13 people have been hospitalized after the incident.

State Gov. Kathy Hochul posted this to X this afternoon. “I’ve been briefed on the tragic tour bus accident on the @NYSThruway. My team is coordinating closely with @nyspolice and local officials who are working to rescue and provide assistance to everyone involved.”

Motorists should plan for extended delays. Motorists may wish to seek alternate routes.
