Minor injury reported in plow-ambulance accident
GERRY – One person received a minor injury following an accident involving a private plow truck and an ambulance.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, a Falconer ambulance driven by Greg P. Scott, 53, of Jamestown was transporting a patient and county medic Walid Al-Jabiri, 44 of Jamestown to UPMC Chautauqua when they were backed into by a plow clearing the Gerry Rodeo grounds by Brian Anderson, 63, of Gerry.
Deputies report that Al-Jabiri was injured when a piece of equipment in the ambulance struck him on impact. Al-Jabiri sought medical attention at UPMC.
No charges were issued in the mishap.
