Crashes impact traffic on state Thruway near Angola exit

Several motor vehicle collisions on the New York State Thruway are impacting traffic during a winter storm warning on Thursday afternoon.
Thruway State Police said the accidents have occurred on the Thruway near Exit 57A, town of Evans in Erie County. One incident involves two tractor-trailers, another involves five passenger vehicles, and a third involves a tractor-trailer and passenger vehicle.
All westbound lanes are blocked and traffic is being diverted off Exit 57 westbound. Two people have been transported to local hospitals with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
State police advise to expect delays and urge motorists to use caution in the area.
