Fatal North Collins crash under investigation

NORTH COLLINS — A fatal crash over the weekend is being investigated by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Unit, according to Sheriff John Garcia.

At approximately 6 a.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to the area of 11476 Sisson Highway. A witness reported that a dump truck rolled over and struck a tree. The operator, a 59-year-old Gowanda man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials said no further information is available at this time.
