Fredonia lifts water conservation order

The village of Fredonia announced Friday that the water conservation order issued last week for customers served by the Village of Fredonia water supply has been lifted. Ripley fire blamed on boiler valve

RIPLEY -- A malfunctioning gas boiler valve was blamed in a morning fire. Around 7:13 a.m. Monday, the Ripley Fire Department and multiple mutual aid departments responded to a residential structure fire on NE Sherman Road in the town. After extinguishing the fire, the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was requested to the scene to conduct an origin and cause probe.
