Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies report they responded to a gunshot complaint in the village of Silver Creek around 3:09 p.m. Upon further investigation it was found that Tyler G. Crouse, 34, of Silver Creek, and Lucille M. Inmate charged with assault on county jail officer

An inmate has been charged after an investigation into a physical altercation on an employee with the Chautauqua County Jail. The Criminal Investigation Division of Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department determined that Lawrence A. Gibbons, 48, of Jamestown, struck a correction officer in the face and jaw. Gibbons was charged with second-degree assault and appeared for the Centralized Arraignment Process.
