A peace vigil has been scheduled for Sunday evening in the village of Fredonia. Organizers say the event is being held in response to the attack on Iran by the United States. It will be at 7:30 p.m. in the gazebo of Barker Common. Prayers and meditation will take place during the event.
An Ohio man who was swimming and went missing on Chautauqua Lake was located Sunday. On Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call of a submerged swimmer on Chautauqua Lake north of Chautauqua Institution. The Chautauqua County Water Emergency Team and the department's marine division responded and were unable to locate the swimmer. The search was paused due to darkness and resumed on Sunday.
