LoGuidice Center honors former students and staff

The Erie 2 BOCES LoGuidice Educational Center recently dedicated memorial bricks in honor of former students and staff at a ceremony held at the campus’ “Garden of Memories.” Each year, memorials are placed in tribute to their accomplishments and lasting impact on all those who attended or worked at the LoGuidice Center.

“The Garden of Memories is an ongoing tribute to all of the students and staff that have been touched by the people and programs housed at the LoGuidice Center,” said Principal Joe Pagan. “We are proud to continue to honor those who have passed on.”

This year, the ceremony recognized the following individuals: Lynn R. Bull Sr. Former Staff Member, Michael V. Klopf Former Student, Lisa Marie Ready Former Teaching Assistant, Nia M. Robertson Former Student and Lorie E. Sabo Former Board of Education member.

LoGuidice Center Special Education staff, faculty, and students planned the ceremony, including contacting families of deceased employees and friends of BOCES, ordering the memorial bricks, cleaning the Garden, and hosting a tea and coffee hour after the ceremony.

“I would like to thank those who maintain our Garden, both students and adults, especially our committee members Hector Alverio, Maureen Bialaszewski, Peter Majka, and Lynne Schmitt,” added Pagan. “We are also pleased to thank the Fredonia Home Depot that generously donated time and materials to help prepare the Garden for the ceremony.”

The Garden of Memories is located behind the LoGuidice Center’s “E” Building on Fredonia-Stockton Road in Fredonia.

Starting at $3.50/week.
