Aaron Polanski will serve as administrator of County Home

Chautauqua County Executive Vince Horrigan has announced the appointment of Aaron Polanski as the Permanent Administra-tor of the Chautauqua County Home.

Over the past seven months, Andrea Snyder, Director of Nursing, has been serving as acting administrator at the Chautauqua County Home under the supervision of a New York state licensed administrator.

Following an extensive search, and in consultation with the new purchaser of the County Home, VestraCare, Polanski will take over the position of permanent administrator. Snyder will return to her regular position as director of nursing.

Polanski has spent 15 years in the field of health care and health care management.

He has been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the State of New York since 2008 and he has been the Administrator of Record for The McGuire Group’s Seneca Health Care Center for the past three years.

Under his direction, the Seneca Health Care Center continues to receive the highest rankings from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid and the New York State Department of Health.

“VestraCare fully supports this appointment and it has agreed to retain Aaron as its administrator following the transfer of ownership which is expected to be completed by the end of 2014,” said Horrigan. “By appointing Aaron now, it will help create a smooth transition throughout the transfer process. I am very impressed with his experience, qualifications and record of performance as a top-notch nursing home administrator. Further-more, we are excited to have a Western New York native as the leader of this facility.”

Polanski is a graduate from St. Francis High School in Hamburg.

He graduated from D’Youville College in Buffalo with a bachelor’s of science in business management and currently resides in Hamburg with his family.
