Boat museum announces new board member
BEMUS POINT — The Lawson Center Boat Museum in Bemus Point has announced that Art Webster of Dewittville has joined the board of trustees.
Art is a lifelong boater and sailor on Chautauqua Lake, and a charter member of the Lawson Center. He is a director emeritus of the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy, having served on that board for 10 years (four years as president).
He is presently serving on the board of directors and executive committee of the Chautauqua Lake Association.
David Bargar, president of The Lawson Center Board, noted, “Art is a wonderful addition to our board. His experience with lake issues, boating and board development, as well as his previous leadership roles on several other boards, make him a strong and much welcomed colleague. We are delighted to have him aboard.”
