Solar moratorium extended in Evans
ANGOLA — An extention of the solar moratorium in the town of Evans has been approved.
A sparse crowd was on hand earlier this month as the Town Board approved the extension of the six-month moratorium on non-residential solar farms in the Town. All three members voted in favor of the resolution.
When asked by the OBSERVER, “How much longer will the town of Evans keep extending the solar moratorium?,” town Supervisor Mary Hosler stated: “This probably be the last moratorium that we’ll pass, that will take us all the way to the completion of the Comprehensive Plan. Then, that comprehensive plan will include renewable energy code.”
The next town of Evans board meeting will be Wednesday at the Municipal building at 8787 Erie Road, Angola at 7 p.m.
