One hospitalized after crash involving farm mower

KENNEDY — An accident involving a car and farm equipment sent one to the hospital with minor injuries in Kennedy on Thursday afternoon.

New York State Police responded after 3 p.m. to Route 62. Police say 67-year-old Gary Wood, of Warren, Pa., was driving a green Subaru heading southbound when he struck a New Holland Discbine mower, which was hooked to a tractor operated by 76-year-old Joseph Marsh of Kennedy.

Wood hit the rear end of the mower, causing damage to both the vehicle and piece of equipment.

Wood was subsequently transported to UPMC Chautauqua WCA and was treated for minor lacerations. State Police say an investigation is ongoing.
