Mayville man arrested following foot chase
MAYVILLE — A Mayville man has been taken into custody after allegedly running from police.
Thursday around 3:40 a.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff deputies located a male on Valley Street in the village of Mayville. The male identified himself as Tyler N Tedesco, 22, of Valley Street and upon investigation he was found to have an active warrant for criminal mischief out of the city of Jamestown Court.
When deputies attempted to take him into custody he fled into his apartment. Deputies pursued Tedesco. He then fled the apartment and led deputies in a foot pursuit through near by yards. He was located a short distance away and taken into custody.
Further investigation found Tedesco also had an active warrant for possession of controlled substance out of Pinellas County, Florida.
Tedesco was charged with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail.
