Crowing contest announces winners
The Crowing Contest welcomed Fairgoers to the 2018 Open Poultry Show. Top honors went to Genevieve Smith with her Rhode Island Red Rooster. Not to be outdone an old male turkey exhibited by Gabe Delahoy thought he would wow the crowds with his rendition of crowing, to the delight of the crowd.
With a total of 80 entries, the 2018 Open Class Poultry Show boasted a variety of 17 different breeds and two turkeys. Genevieve Smith took top honors with her Best In Show Black Old English Game Bantam affectionately called “Rayven.”
Reserve Best In Show honors went to Jared Dorman with his Japanese Bantam hen.

Katelynn Gierlinger: Wyandotte
Jessica Smith: Any Other Standard Breed
