Jamestown woman charged with drug possession

Christina Guinnane

GERRY — On Oct. 5 Troopers pulled over a vehicle on Route 60 in Gerry for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Christina Guinnane, 39, of Jamestown. During questioning police claimed to have noticed an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A search allegedly revealed a bag containing marijuana, three marijuana cigarettes, six Xanax pills, two-and-a-half Lortabs, two different types of Adderall pills and a black gravity knife. All pills are controlled substances and reportedly Guinnane didn’t have prescriptions for any of them. She was charged with four counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana. She was released and is due to appear in Gerry Town Court on a later date.
