Cherry Creek VFW holds Halloween party

Submitted Photo

Cherry Creek VFW’s kids Halloween bash mixed old tradition and new, trendy fun and games. Apple bobbing in a small size pool brought lots of laughter and proved to be challenging for all ages. The fastest-growing trend, “bottle flipping,” brought competition to the forefront and the top two prizes encouraged all ages to participate. First prize was a standing snowboard and the second an “All Star Hockey Greats” hardcover book. There was a table of prizes and all who attended went home with something. Dollar day food prices from cheeseburgers to fried dough; free chili, candy and of course apples, left no one hungry. RJ the DJ entertained with spooky tales and monster mash songs. And every Halloween Bash needs a not-too-scary clown. Looking forward to next year and all kids are invited.
