Ripley man charged in trashing of house

RIPLEY — A 39-year-old town man is facing charges after allegedly trashing a home Friday on Ross Street.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies report at around 5:30 p.m. they responded to a residence at 43 Ross St. Upon arrival it was found that Scott A. Walker got into an argument with a female at that location and became upset.

Walker then smashed a bar stool causing damage to the inside of the house. Walker had fled the scene and was later located. While walker was being taken into custody he actively resisted deputies. Walker was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, and resisting arrest.

Walker was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail on pre-arraignment bail, and will answer the charges in the Town of Ripley Court later.
