This past December, the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation was honored to assist with a special holiday mission. Although new to the area, the Athenex Project Construction Team saw a need, so during the holiday season they raised money to assist the local community. Their goal at the beginning was to raise $7,500. However, through the generosity of the Athenex Project companies and employees, they raised $10,050.
The agencies that benefited from this holiday spirit were:
¯ Boys & Girls Club of NCC for holiday programming and service project
¯ Court Appointed Special Advocates for Life Books for foster children
¯ Chautauqua County Rural Ministry for food and gift items
¯ Dunkirk City School District for children’s winter boots
¯ Dunkirk Public Library for children’s books to hand out before Christmas
¯ Assistance for Hurricane Maria refugee families – basic needs, bedding and winter clothing
¯ Dunkirk-Fredonia Meals on Wheels for client gifts
¯ Partners in Kind for winter items, holiday help, and basic needs for families
¯ Salvation Army for Christmas meals, toys, and for food pantries
¯ St. Elizabeth Ann Seton for meals, gifts, toys and food
¯ St. Gianna for outerwear and everything for young mothers
¯ United Way of NCC for winter coats
¯ Chautauqua Adult Day Care for holiday program
From all of us at NCCF and from all the families that had a brighter Christmas: Thank You Athenex Project Construction Team.
