CASAC provides local businesses with coasters for December STOP DWI campaign
Did you know that drinking and driving accounts for approximately 30% of all traffic fatalities each year? CASAC, Chautauqua Alcohol & Substance Abuse Council, has launched a new campaign for December. The focus of the campaign is to increase the awareness of the need for a plan to get home safely after consuming alcohol. CASAC would like to thank local business that have agreed to use drink coasters that have been distributed to them to serve as a visual reminder to have a plan, thus reducing the risks of drinking and driving. The coasters also have a QR code on them to allow people to access more information about DWIs from STOP DWI New York. The holidays are a time when people are more likely to drink and drive spontaneously. Make a plan before drinking. Walk. Ride. Carpool. Get a cab. Everyone is capable of making safe decisions before they start drinking.
Since 1974, Chautauqua Alcohol & Substance Abuse Council (CASAC), a not-for-profit United Way partner agency, has been dedicated to providing prevention education and community awareness pertaining to alcohol, other drugs and compulsive gambling.
