Giving back at the holidays

Submitted Photo

The Dunkirk Exempts made a donation to the Salvation Army at its annual Red Kettle drive at the Fredonia Walmart during the annual Joe Gould caroling night. The Exempts held an ugly sweater party on Dec. 15 and raised $200, and the club contributed $500 to make this $700 donation in a time of need for the local community. Taking part in the picture are club members Mike Haynes, Mike Edwards, Gary Haase, Major Chris Rodriguez from the Salvation Army, David Damico and Joe Gould. Pictured in the back row are Kurt Wolnik, Andy Bohn, Santa Claus and Kyle Goss, along with some local community members. According to Major Rodriguez, this money will stay local to help out families in need in the Dunkirk area. This presentation was held as Gould and his crew of signers entertained shoppers while playing favorite holiday songs.
