Uke-newbie Workshops scheduled at Darwin Barker LibraryUke-newbie Workshops scheduled at Darwin Barker Library

Uke-newbie Workshops will be held at the Darwin Barker Library, 7 Day St., Fredonia, on the following Wednesdays: Feb. 20, April 24, June 26 and Aug. 28.

The “Uke-newbie Jam” is intended for beginners and those who would like to work on the basics. Participants will focus on some basic chords (C, C7, F, Am, G, G7) and strumming. This is typically a smaller group, so attendees can get some one-on-one attention. All are welcome, but this session moves a bit slower than the usual jam sessions. Extra ukes are available for those who don’t have one.

This is all about making music as a community, and facilitators are looking forward to meeting everyone. The goal is to have fun and to make music.

Register for each workshop by contacting the library: call 672-8051 or email

All are invited to join in for the Community Ukulele Jams on the LAST Friday of each month. For location and dates, find the website for Fredonia Ukulele:
