Chautauqua County Executive George Borrello was the master of ceremonies and just one of many politicians that came out to remember individuals who died on the job at the 19th Annual Chautauqua County Workers’ Memorial. The event, as always, was held at Erlandson Overview Park on May 4. Other individuals who spoke at the event included Assemblyman Andy Goodell, Lisa Vanstrom from former Sen. Cathy Young’s office, Katrina Fuller from Congressman Tom Reed’s office and City of Dunkirk Mayor Wilfred Rosas. The keynote speaker this year was CSEA retiree Rose Conti.
City of Dunkirk Mayor Wilfred Rosas, Democratic Candidate for Legislator of District 1 Phil Collier, Second Ward Councilman Marty Bamonto and First Ward Councilman and CSEA Unit 6300 First Vice President Don Williams attend the event. Williams is the bell ringer for each name read during the event that honors those who died on the job working for Chautauqua County.
