Bobbi MacKenzie benefit planned for Sunday
On Sunday, May 19, friends and co-workers are joining forces to host a benefit on behalf of Roberta (Bobbi) MacKenzie.
January 20 of this year, Bobbi suffered a life-altering Ruptured Brain Aneurysm. Thanks to the quick actions of her family members, she is on her way to recovery, but it will be a long journey. According to her doctors, it could take up to a year for the bruises on her brain to fully heal.
Bobbi’s circle of friends have come together to try and help her defray the cost not covered by her insurance. The event will be taking place on May 19 at the First Ward Falcon Club, 341 Lake Shore Drive East in Dunkirk and will run from noon to 6 p.m. Chicken and biscuit dinners, catered by Super Duper Catering, will be available for $10 a dinner, with all pre-sale tickets being picked up by 4:30.
Throughout the afternoon, there will be musical entertainment by 6 Year Stretch, Tara Graves, and the Untouchables. There will be a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, and special raffles with items such as signed hockey sticks of Buffalo Sabres Skinner #53 and Scandella #6, Josh Allen jersey, lots of golfing packages, and even a fishing package.
For pre-sale tickets, call 366-7292.
Please join Bobbi’s family and friends on Sunday, May 19 for this fun-filled afternoon.
