It went from bad to worse for a Westfield resident after an accident on Route 5 near Temple Road on Wednesday.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies responded to a personal injury motor vehicle accident in the town of Dunkirk around 7:30 a.m. Upon arrival deputies located the operator of the motor vehicle. Through an investigation it was found the operator attempted to give deputies a fictitious name.

Deputies identified the operator as Zachery W. Schwartz, 24. Schwartz was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and unlicensed operation.

Schwartz was then transported to Brooks Hospital by Alstar ambulance for his injuries.
