Mayville’s Stamp Out Hunger food drive a success

The Mayville Post Office held their annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on Saturday, May 11. Thanks to the generosity of the Post Office, the letter carriers, and Postal customers, 30 tubs of non-perishable food and hygiene products were collected and donated to the Mayville Food Pantry (St. Paul’s Episcopal Food Pantry), totaling about 550 pounds.

The Mayville Food Pantry serves those in need within the Chautauqua Lake Central School District. The Food Pantry is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Postal Carrier Rich Nowell delivered the many tubs of collected items to the Pantry, benefiting many in need.

The Food Pantry is located at the Cheryl Steinbach Outreach Center, 99 S. Erie St., Mayville. Many RSVP volunteers, as well as others, volunteer their time and talents at the Mayville Food Pantry. For information on the Food Pantry, call (716) 224-3814.
