Silver Creek hosts ‘The Living Museum’

SILVER CREEK — Fourth-graders at Silver Creek Elementary School recently hosted “The Living Museum” in the lobby. This unique art show, an integration of art and library skills, focused on fun facts about interesting artists.

The students donned simple costumes to represent a variety of artists and discussed their works and lives with attendees. Vincent Van Gogh, Leonardo Da Vinci, Henri Matisse, Jackson Pollack, Walt Disney, Eric Carle, Charles Schultz, Grandma Moses, Georgia O’ Keefe, Oscar-Claude Monet, Paul Klee, Pablo Picasso and Georges Seurat were represented, joined by Silver Creek art teachers Denise Stebbins, Paul Abate and Elizabeth Dole.

The students chose if they wanted to dress up like the artist or someone in the artist’s life.
