City duo found with stolen goods

Two Dunkirk residents face charges after an alleged burglary and police retrieval of a stash of stolen property.

On Sunday at about 8 a.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a suspicious situation on Route 5 in the town of Dunkirk. Through investigation, it was found that Darren T. Huttenmaier, 25, allegedly entered a building without permission to do so and took property.

A search warrant was conducted at an associated residence and found that Huttenmaier and Autumn E. Becirovic, 22, had a large quantity of stolen property inside, as well as a number of hypodermic needles. While interviewing Huttenmaier and Becirovic, both reportedly attempted to conceal their identities by using fake names. It was also found that both Huttenmaier and Becirovic had additional felony warrants out of the Town of Hamburg.

Huttenmaier was charged with third-degree burglary, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, false personation and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument, and was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

Becirovic was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and false personation, and will answer her charges at a later date and time.
