Fredonia Ukulele is back at East Main Cafe Friday.

On Friday, July 12, Fredonia Ukulele is back in their original location at East Main Cafe (formerly Kasia Coffee). East Main Cafe is opening special for the “Fredonia Ukulele B-Side Jam” from 6 to 8 p.m. The jam session is for all ages and all ability levels, and we’ve got extra ukuleles in case you don’t have one of your own. Newcomers are welcome. We’re a friendly group of amateur ukulele enthusiasts and can’t wait to sing and strum with you in that space again! At the B-Side Jam we’ll play favorite tunes by folk, rock, and pop musicians from the 60s through today. Something for everyone!

Fredonia Ukulele has been expanding beyond their usual Community Jam Sessions which are typically held on the last Friday of the month in the Costello Community Room in Rockefeller Arts Center on SUNY Fredonia’s campus. One such special event was a Second Saturday Uke Jam hosted at Domus Fare restaurant on June 8. The Second Saturday Jam Session was an all-ability-level jam with open mic opportunities. One participant said, “Such a happy event. Fun little instrument!!” The next Second Saturday Uke Jam will be held on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Domus Fare. Come to strum and sing – stay to have a great time!
