Brocton Fire Department issues July report

BROCTON — The Brocton Fire Company has issued its monthly report for July and it’s a fairly busy one.

The firefighters sped to a stove fire in the village and four more alarms in their contracted fire district. Two of those turned out to be expired batteries, one was a smoke investigation and one was listed as “wires burning.”

There were eight emergency medical services calls in the village and 11 in the contract service district. Brocton firefighters responded to 10 mutual aid calls in the Portland fire district.

They went to two motor vehicle accidents, five work details and two service calls. The grand total of calls for the month was 47.
