Roland Rose Announces Candidacy

Roland Rose is announcing his candidacy for Fredonia Village Trustee. He has received endorsement from the Republican Party. Rose was born and raised in Chautauqua County and has lived in the village of Fredonia for the last 12 years. Mr. Rose lives in Fredonia with his wife, Melissa. He also has two grown sons.

Rose served two years in the United States Navy during Desert Storm, stationed in Norfolk, Virginia on the USS Hunley AS 31. He worked as an engine man in A-GANG where he was responsible for sanitary, heating/AC, emergency diesels, high/low air pressure, oxygen generating equipment and potable water on submarines. Upon discharge from the Navy, Rose was employed at Cliffstar for five years as a head butcher, Walkers Wine Juice for 12 years in shipping and receiving, and has been employed at Stericycle for the last 12 years where he has worked his way up to shift lead disposing of medical waste.

Rose has been an active volunteer firefighter for the last 25 years in various companies. He has most recently been a member of the Fredonia Volunteer Fire Company for the last 10 years. He was previously a 3rd assistant chief for Fenner Hose Company No. 2. Mr. Rose is an active member of Forest Lodge No. 166 Free Masons.

Rose endorses a team approach to the governing of Fredonia. He looks forward to working with the different facets of Fredonia’s local government to create a better future for the community.

“I look forward to the opportunity to assist in addressing infrastructure issues in a timely fashion. I would like to see more new businesses have the opportunity to grow and thrive in our village in addition to helping our current local businesses continue to grow,” said Rose.
