MAYVILLE — An assault in the Chautauqua County Jail earlier this month has led to charges against a pair of inmates.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division investigated the incident that occurred on Aug. 6. Inmates Kyle O Kamholtz, 33, of 102 McKinley St., Jamestown, and Alvin J Jusino, 24, of 188 Falconer St., Jamestown, were both charged with second-degree assault.

The victim had to be transported to Westfield Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries he sustained and was released the same day.

Kamholtz and Jusino were arraigned at the County Jail using the Centralized Arraignment Procedure. Bail in these charges were set at $75,000.
