Dunkirk Police investigate were at the scene of the accident around 8:45 this morning.

Dunkirk police are asking for the public’s assistance after an apparent car-bicycle accident that led to a male being taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital.

Around 8:45, officers were taking pictures of the scene where the bike laid on the lawn at East Courtney Street and Roberts Road. Dunkirk Fire Department also responded to the call that came in around 8:14 a.m. The male was reported as laying in the grass after the accident.

Besides the bicycle, there was also a baseball cap left at the scene of the incident. Anyone with information regarding this accident is encouraged to please contact the Dunkirk Police Desk at 366-2266.
