Full Moon Paddle set for Cassadaga Lake Saturday

CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga Lakes Association, in conjunction with the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy and Evergreen Outfitters, will be holding a Full Moon Paddle on Saturday, Sept. 14. This is a new wrinkle to the Cassadaga Lakes Annual Paddle Across the Lakes. Kayaks, paddleboards and canoes are welcome.

Participants are asked to meet at Cassadaga Beach on Park Avenue at 6:30 p.m.. PFDs (life jackets) and lights are mandatory and a dish to pass or beverage will be welcome. This event will showcase the Chautauqua Watershed’s preserves on Cassadaga Lake including its latest project, the Cassadaga Lakes Nature Park. Call Evergreen Outfitters at 763-2266 for kayak rentals and more information. Participants are encouraged to make an event donation to be split between these organizations.

Upon conclusion of the excursion, a campfire will be held with refreshments. Cassadaga Lakes is considered to be one of the premier kayaking lakes in Western New York. Come and make new friends on the water! The CLA and CWC are partners in the conservation and enhancement of the water quality, scenic beauty, and ecological health of the Cassadaga Lakes.
